Ourbus Coach Lines will pick up on campus at two locations:

  • West Campus near the Baker Flagpole at 11:30am (at the bottom of the slope)

Lessons:

All lessons meet at the Lesson Meeting Spot located next to the Alpha Slope (Beginner’s Chair Lift). If exiting the rental building, proceed directly across metal bridge. Please be there 10 minutes before lesson time. You must attend the section that you registered for to receive credit:

  • Beginner Lessons start at 1:30PM
  • Intermediate and Advanced Lessons begin at 3:30PM.

Students must allow enough time to check in, change into their skiing attire, check out equipment if they are renting and get out to the lesson area. Please allow 45 minutes to complete this process.

Student Responsibilities:

  • To finalize registration for Greek Peak Skiing or Snowboarding, you must log onto the Greek Peak College Ski Program website for Cornell students.
  • All students who sign up for this course are responsible for checking their university email/Canvas for messages. Communications like reminders and class cancellations will be sent/posted here. Please check your messages the day of your class.
  • If a student wishes to drop this course to avoid a failing grade, they must do so before the last meeting day of their class. Once the last day of the class has ended, university policy requires that any students still registered may not be dropped and must have a grade posted for them. To drop the course students must contact Greg Brown at Cornell (ggb26@cornell.edu) and Molli Rainbow at Greek Peak (mrainbow@greekpeakmtnresort.com). Failure to contact both parties will prevent you from properly dropping the course.

Fees:

Students pay all course, lesson and transportation fees directly to Greek Peak. See Greek Peak website: https://www.greekpeak.net/ski-ride/school-programs/college-pe-programs/Greek Peak processes all refunds. Students seeking any refunds must contact the College Ski Program Coordinator Molli Rainbow, (mrainbow@greekpeakmtnresort.com).

Refund Policies

To receive a pro-rated refund, students must drop the course on their Cornell Student Center account by the posted deadline March 8, 2024. Students who drop the course and seek a refund must contact Molli Rainbow (mrainbow@greekpeakmtnresort.com), the College Ski Program Coordinator immediately regarding the refund. Any student that drops the course prior to the College’s drop date will be entitled to a refund of the remaining classes (lessons and rental fees) needed to complete the 5-class requirement for a passing grade. There will be no refund of course fees if withdrawal occurs after the completion of the 5th lesson.

You must contact the college Program Director at Greek Peak and turn in your RFID Go Pass to the Cornell Physical Education Department along with your credit card information prior to the next scheduled class. Your refund will be based on the number of remaining classes not taken that would be required to receive a passing grade, minus a $20 processing fee. The transportation cost included in the class cost has been paid in full to the bus company and is non-refundable. All refunds will be issued in the form of a credit card “credit” for the equivalent of the unused services of Greek Peak, less Greek Peak’s $20 processing fee and Cornell P.E.’s $20 service fee.

Medical Refunds

A consideration will be given for medical conditions (occurrences) that prevent an enrollee from participating in or completing their ski/snowboard course. The consideration is as follows: If a student is injured and not able to continue in the course, they must send a request, including medical documentation of illness/injury (physician’s statement or hospital report, containing diagnosis and treatment), to the College Program Directory, Molli Rainbow (mrainbow@greekpeakmtnresort.com), immediately following the incident and prior to the next scheduled class. The amount refunded will be a prorated portion of course fees (lesson and rental fees) based on the number of required sessions remaining after the occurrence date of the medical condition preventing participation. All Refunds will be issued in the form of a credit card “credit” for the equivalent of the unused services of Greek Peak, less Greek Peak’s $20 processing fee and Cornell P.E.’s $20 service fee.

The transportation cost is included in the class cost and is nonrefundable.

  • Ride the bus to and from Greek Peak
