Information and Policies
Students must select and register for a specific day session (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday). Students can only attend their enrolled section and will only receive credit for attending their section.

Saturday Sessions: January 24, 31; February 7, 21, 28; March 7

How the Course Works
Class Schedule:
- Beginner Lessons (Fri/Sat): 1:30 p.m.
- Beginner Lessons (Sun): 11:30 a.m.
- Intermediate & Advanced Lessons (Fri/Sat): 3:30 p.m.
- Intermediate & Advanced Lessons (Sun): 1:30 p.m.
Please arrive 10 minutes early at the lesson meeting spot:
outside the Rental Shop exit, before crossing the bridge to Chair 3.
Attendance Requirements for Credit
To receive college credit and a passing grade, students must:
- Attend at least 5 of the 6 scheduled sessions.
- Each session includes a lesson and a minimum of 3 hours of practice.
Attendance is taken at multiple points:
- You must be signed in by your instructor at the mountain.
- You must be signed in and out on the bus attendance sheet each session.
- You will need to show your Cornell ID or government issued ID for attendance on the bus.
Failure to be signed in by both your instructor and on the bus roster will result in an unexcused absence for that session.
Transportation
Provided by Greek Peak
All students enrolled in the Skiing and Snowboarding course are required to ride the bus to and from Greek Peak. Students who do not ride the bus both ways will not receive attendance credit for the day.
Bus Schedule (Fri & Sat):
- West Campus (Baker Flagpole bus stop): 11:30 a.m.
- North Campus (RPCC bus stop): 11:45 a.m.
- West Campus (Baker Flagpole bus stop): 9:30 a.m.
- North Campus (RPCC bus stop): 9:45 a.m.
The last bus departs campus at 11:45 a.m.
Buses depart Greek Peak at 5:30 p.m.

- West Campus (Baker Flagpole bus stop): 9:30 a.m.
- North Campus (RPCC bus stop): 9:45 a.m.
The last bus departs campus at 9:45 a.m.
Buses depart Greek Peak at 3:45 p.m.
*Attendance is taken on the bus both to and from Greek Peak.
Students must ride both ways to receive credit for the session.
Upon Arrival at Greek Peak
- Check in with a Greek Peak representative (first week) and the College Course Advisor in the Katalima Building (at the Program Window).
- Attendance will be verified, and announcements will be shared.
- Each student will receive a College PE RFID Card during the first session:
- This card serves as your lift ticket.
- It must be worn inside your jacket, between your shoulders and waist (not near your cell phone).
Communication
All students are responsible for regularly checking Canvas and email for:
- Class cancellations
- Schedule or transportation changes
Check both the day before and the day of your session.

Fees & Payment
All course, lesson, and transportation fees are paid directly to Greek Peak.
The course fee covers 5 mandatory sessions; the 6th session is optional for students who have already completed the attendance requirement and may be attended at no additional charge.
Rental equipment and meal plans are subject to 8% sales tax.

Refund Policy
A partial refund of $194 is available only through the collegeโs official drop deadline.
- Refunds apply only to the course fee (not to administrative, transportation, rental, or meal plan fees).
- After the drop/add deadline, no refunds will be issued for any fees.
- To receive a prorated refund, students must:
- Drop the course in their Cornell Student Center by the posted deadline.
- Contact Kim Hughes, College Program Director, at khughes@greekpeakmtnresort.com.
Students who do not drop the course by the deadline will remain responsible for all associated fees.
Graduate students are not eligible to register for this course.
Important Dates:
- Last Day to Add: Friday, January 30, 2026
- Last Day to Drop: Sunday, January 25, 2026
Clothing Recommendations
Dress appropriately for outdoor winter activities:
- Wear windproof and waterproof outer layers
- Layer upโitโs easier to remove layers than to be underdressed
- Bring warm gloves, socks, and headgear
