Orientation Swim Dates
The swim requirement can be taken during Orientation each August and January for free (more information on late fees here). Students do not need an official SDS accommodation to postpone their swim requirement or PE courses.
* Must bring Cornell ID, appropriate swimwear (may include rash guards, t-shirts, shorts, burkinis, etc.) and a towel. NO PHOTO ID, NO SWIM! These times are subject to change and are intended for anyone who needs and is able to meet the swim requirement.
** If you are uncertain that you can meet the requirements, it is highly recommended that you register for PE 1100 (beginning swimming).

Cornell is working towards ensuring that trans students are able to take the swim requirement in a way that, if desired, is as private and comfortable as possible.
