We can’t wait to welcome you to campus this fall for Family Weekend 2026, September 25–27! Family Weekend is a time to connect with Cornell, celebrate your student, and make lasting memories together.
The schedule overview below is intended to help you begin planning your visit. The full schedule of events, including event descriptions, locations, and additional details, will be available on Tuesday, July 28. Please note that event times and locations may be adjusted as details are finalized. For a preview of typical activities, you can review our 2025 Family Weekend schedule.
Thursday, September 24
- 4:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m. | Check-In & Welcome Lounge | Toni Morrison Multipurpose Room
Friday, September 25
- 11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. | Check-In & Welcome Lounge | Toni Morrison Multipurpose Room
- 1:00–5:00 p.m. | College and School Events/College Welcome Receptions
- 1:00–5:00 p.m. | University Experiences, including museums, workshops, and tutorials
- 5:00–6:30 p.m. | Student & Campus Life Family Weekend Welcome Reception
- 7:00 p.m. | Dinner at the Statler*
- 8:00 p.m. | Comedy Show*
Saturday, September 26
- 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. | Check-In & Welcome Lounge | Toni Morrison Multipurpose Room
- 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. | College and School Events/College Welcome Receptions
- 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. | Family Celebration Lunch*
- TBA | Football vs. Yale*
- 1:30–5:00 p.m. | Department Open Houses
- 1:30–5:00 p.m. | University Experiences, including museums, workshops, and tutorials
- 6:00–7:30 p.m. | Sunset on the Slope

Sunday, September 27
- 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. | Coffee in the Gardens
- 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. | Sunday Family Brunch at the Statler*
- Seatings at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 12:30 p.m.

What to Expect
Family Weekend is all about exploration, connection, and celebration. We’ll have a variety of events happening across campus, from casual drop-ins and student performances to engaging panels, family-friendly activities, and community traditions.
- Most events are included in your Family Weekend registration.
- A Family Weekend name badge is required for most events. You and your student will receive name badges at check-in.
- Some events may require advance tickets or additional fees, which will be noted in the full schedule.
- Events are generally first-come, first-served.
- Your student may have other weekend commitments, so we encourage you to plan your time together thoughtfully.
