Since 2017, the Finger Lakes Toy Library has been improving the quality of life in our region by increasing access to toys, supporting play, and encouraging a culture of reuse and sharing. Play is increasingly being shown to be invaluable to the development and education of children, especially during early childhood. We hope you will join us in positively impacting Ithaca’s children by making high-quality toys accessible to everyone in the community.

The Assistant Coordinator of Operations will help with many aspects of running the Finger Lakes Toy Library) including:

• staffing open hours (greet members, advise on toy selection, check in and check out toys using our automated “LendEngine” system)
• ensuring the toy collection and toy library stay organized
• performing outreach and relationship building with local community, including social media and monthly newsletter
• overseeing curbside pick-up
• helping organize and manage playtime programming and events
• supporting fundraising efforts through direct mail and phone calls
