Christian Gonzalez

Associate Director for Student Empowerment and Undocumented/DACA Student Support

Christian Abigail Gonzalez is the Associate Director for Student Empowerment and Undocumented/DACA Student Support at Cornell. Christian comes from the University of California, San Diego where she served as the inaugural Assistant Coordinator at Undocumented Student Services. In this role, she led professional development initiatives, provided individualized guidance to undocumented students, co-facilitated UndocuAlly trainings to the campus community and provided general support to the center. Coming from a mixed-immigration status family, Christian has held the undocumented community close to her heart and has consistently advocated for educational equity for undocumented students in every role she has served. Previously, she worked in outreach, student financial aid and scholarship services at the Colorado Department of Higher Education and the Office of Financial Aid at the University of Colorado.

Christian is a proud Coloradan from the Montbello neighborhood in Northeast Denver. She earned her M.A in Higher Education Administration and Leadership from Adams State University in Alamosa, CO and a B.A in Ethnic Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder. Christian loves going on food adventures, spending time with her family, going to Target and listening/dancing to cumbia and bachata music.
