Since my initiation into the Mu Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority in the spring semester of my first year, I have been heavily involved within the Multicultural Greek Letter Council (MGLC) community. In the fall of my sophomore year, I served as a MGLC representative on the Greek Judicial Board which piqued my interest in the judicial processes surrounding Greek life. As a result of this interest, I served as the vice president of Judicial Affairs for MGLC during the 2016 year and currently serve as the president of the MGLC for 2017. In addition to my involvement on the MGLC board, I am also heavily involved within my own chapter. Since my initiation, I have held the positions of membership chair, connections chair, corresponding secretary, and treasurer. My leadership in MGLC has taught me to work effectively within a group and on my own, and to learn the true meaning of being a leader who effects positive change. From serving on the MGLC e-board, my confidence has grown both in and out of the classroom as well as amongst my peers.
I also serve on the Arts & Sciences Dean's Student Advisory Council, am a mentor for the Society for Women in Business, and I am a member of Mortar Board/Der Hexenkreis Senior Honor Society. Upon graduation, I am interested in pursuing a career in film and/or television production.
